Resource Owner FAQ

Resource Owner FAQ

Role: The resource owner oversees agents and ensures the quality and relevance of inventoried deposits. They receive collection requests during ecosystem creation and decide whether they can effectively respond. Once the ecosystem is up and running, they confirm whether or not it is running smoothly for better material tracking.

Idea General information

How do I change my login details and password?

The identifiers of an account cannot be modified directly by its user, it is necessary to contact the administrator of its Upcyclea Net-0 who can change it themselves. The password can, however, be changed at any time by the user in the “Change password” field by clicking on the “My Profile” section.

Validate/request a modification/reject a request:

How do I change my login details and password?

This is only valid when the request is awaiting validation.

  1. Click on the action button (the three vertically aligned dots) to the right of the request banner.
  2. Click on View details: a window summarizing the request information opens
  3. Click on the desired button at the bottom of the window:
  • Validate: this validates the request, thus giving agreement for the removal of the deposit on the planned date.

Questions: What do the statutes mean?

Depending on the level of processing of requests, these can take different statuses in Upcyclea Net-0 . These statuses are visible to the resource owner on the banners of the home page and allow sorting of requests via the filters provided:

Pending validation : A request to take charge of the deposit has been submitted to the resource owner by the ecosystem manager. The resource owner can validate it, request a modification or reject it if the ecosystem terms do not suit them.

Requesting modification: The resource owner has requested a modification to the ecosystem manager's request.

Pending: The request has been accepted by the resource owner but other stakeholders in the ecosystem have not yet accepted their respective requests.

Validated: The request has been validated but the pick-up date has not yet taken place.

Pending confirmation: The deposit collection date has passed, the resource owner must confirm that their deposit has been taken over.

Deposits: What do the statutes mean?

Depending on the level of processing of the deposits, these can take different statuses in Upcyclea Net-0 . These statuses are visible to the resource owner on the banners of the home page and allow sorting of the deposits via the filters provided:

Pending validation: The deposit is submitted to the resource owner for validation or not. The resource owner can request a modification of the deposit if certain information is missing or not suitable.

Pending publication: The deposit has been validated by the resource owner and must now be published by the supervisor so that it can subsequently be integrated into ecosystems. The supervisor can request a modification of the deposit.

Request for modification: The resource owner wants the agent to modify certain information in the resource. Once the request is made, the resource must be published by the supervisor.

Published: the deposit has been accepted and published by the supervisor. It is therefore visible to all authorized users (supervisor, ecosystem manager).

Info
How are deposits published?

The deposits created by the agent are first redirected to their resource owner, so that the latter can validate them (or request modifications).

The agent receives a notification when their deposit is validated, rejected, or the resource owner has requested a modification.

Once the deposit is validated, it is redirected to the supervisor, who must ensure the consistency of the circular passport used, the use of the nomenclature, etc. He can then publish the deposit (or request a modification). Once the deposit is published, it becomes visible to all authorized users (Supervisors and Ecosystem Managers of the Upcyclea Net-0 concerned).

The validation and publication process aims to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the information entered into the platform. It is essential to prevent inaccurate or illegible data from disrupting the creation of circular ecosystems.

Questions: What do the icons mean?

The icon located to the left of a request banner symbolizes the current status of this request.

Icon Corresponding status
“Awaiting confirmation”
"Valid"
“Awaiting validation”
No icon “Pending”, “Pending modification” or “Confirmed”
Info
What is the difference between the “validated” and “confirmed” statuses of a request?

A request is validated when the person to whom it is addressed (resource owner, processing manager or independent processor) has validated the action proposed to them under the proposed conditions (date, quantity, etc.).

Discussions may have taken place before validation, to reach an agreement on the conditions for carrying out the action.

A request is confirmed when the person to whom it is addressed (resource owner, transformation manager or independent processor responsible for needs) has indicated that the action has been carried out.

Info
Why can't I confirm the request?

Confirmation of a request can only be made once the relevant action or receipt of the material/products has taken place. Therefore, you must wait until the scheduled date has passed before you can "confirm" the request.

You will also see the status of the request change to “awaiting confirmation” on the date scheduled for the action concerned by the request.

Info
If I have multiple roles, what happens in the verification process?

A single user can hold multiple roles. For example, a user can be both an Agent and a Resource Owner. In this case, the verification/validation step performed by the Resource Owner is automatic; no action is required.

The publishing process is also automatic if the user combines the roles of Agent, Resource Owner and Supervisor.

Info
What is a deposit?

A deposit corresponds to a used material or product, which no longer has any use for its producer/owner, and which the latter wishes to recover.

Three types of information can be used to characterize a deposit on Upcyclea Net-0 :

  • The circular passport of the product or material (= identity card)
  • Geographic location
  • Additional information: quantity, availability date, condition, etc.

A deposit is entered by the agent. It is then validated by the resource owner.

Info
What is a request?

A request is sent by the Ecosystem Manager to the Resource Owner when he integrates his deposit into an ecosystem. The request consists of asking the Resource Owner if the conditions for integrating the deposit into the ecosystem are suitable for him: collection date, quantities recovered, etc. The name of the deposit is included at the top of the request.
The Resource Owner can validate the request, request a modification or reject it completely if it is not of interest to him.

Info
What data do I have access to?

The Resource Owner has access to the list of deposits for which he is responsible (created by the agents he supervises), the list of agents he supervises, as well as the list of the different sites where his deposits are located.
He can also manage the various requests sent to him by the Ecosystem Manager and see his archived requests. It is not possible for a Resource Owner to consult deposits for which he is not responsible.

Info
Can I modify the deposits created by my agents?

The Resource Owner cannot modify the deposits created by his agents. He can only validate them, request a modification or reject them.

Info
How do I add sites to my Upcyclea Net-0?

Adding sites can only be done by the Resource Owner if they have a Territory account. For a Building account, you must contact your Admin, who will then submit a request to Upcyclea.

Adding sites takes place in the tab of the Resource Owner role. There are two ways to add sites:

  • By clicking on “+ Create a site”: you must then give a name to the site, add an address and an optional description.
  • By clicking on "Import sites": this function is useful for adding several sites at once. You must have entered the site information in an Excel table: site name, address (readable by Google Maps), optional description then upload it to Upcyclea Net-0 .
